Annapurna Base Camp Trek

11 Days

Annapurna Base Camp Trek will take you through a trekking circuit that is among the most traversed in the world famed for its diverse landscapes and impressive mountains. Annapurna Base Camp Trek will take you along beautiful isolated hamlets, hot springs, mysterious gorges, numerous waterfalls, roaring rivers and places that hold religious significance for Hindus and Buddhists alike.

This Trekking takes you through the meandering paths, long and narrow suspension bridges that swing ever so gently as you pass through them and unfamiliar terrains provide ample thrills and adventure.

At this trek you will get to rest your weary legs sitting in the most picturesque of locations enjoying the unencumbered view of such great mountains as Annapurna, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Hiunchuli among others. One outstanding feature of Annapurna Base Camp Trek is the drastic change is altitude, geography and the human culture and civilization found in the relatively short span of distance of the circuit.

Trekkers will experience altitude change from almost 700m to 5400m, where the climate changes from tropical to arctic. Likewise, you will also notice the gradual change in culture as the altitude increases. You will come across villages that have predominantly Hindu culture along the lower foothills while at higher altitude, in places like Mustang and Manang, you will see the Buddhist and Tibetan way of life.

Depending on the starting and ending point, Annapurna Base Camp Trek can last anywhere between 160-230 km. It is not a short trekking route by any means. However, with a few days of acclimatizing most people will be able to make this trail.
