Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is a perfect choice for those of us who are looking for an ‘off the beaten path’ trekking experience in the quieter parts of the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is the lowest and perhaps the least visited of the trekking peaks in Nepal.
Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is the shortest trek to Mardi Himal situated in the Annapurna Himalayan region which starts from Pokhara. Mardi Himal Trek provides a picturesque and overwhelming experience to the mountainous environment soaked view of green hills, snow capped mountain and walks into the pristine forest of lovely rhododendron and oak.
The 5 days trek starts from Pokhara and also ends at Pokhara. The trekking starts from Pokhara by boating in the beautiful Phewa lake. After boating and spending time there, we will move toward Kande. With amazing views of show capped mountain on the trail, we will reach Pothana.
Trekking on this route, leading up to Mardi Himal base camp and finally the high camp, we get to appreciate the solitary trails complete with verdant forests, interesting villages, valleys, terraced farms, dazzling rivers and the extraordinary views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Hiunchuli mountains. Another benefit about this trekking route is that the trail makes a small circuit up to the base camp of Mardi Himal so that we don’t have to backtrack over the same terrain.
